ACTION & POLICY

Nearly 110,000 people have died due to drug overdose in the last year. That’s about one death every 5 minutes. Many of these deaths could have been prevent ed if folks who use drugs had access to life-saving tools.

The War on Drugs put folks at further harm with policies that limited access to public health tools including syringe exchange programs as well as effective drug treatment and recovery supportive services.

We advocate to expand access to evidence-based tools, education, and safe consumption sites to prevent overdose and support
